Welcome 2020
Dear Friend,
As Human Trafficking Awareness Month draws to a close, we wanted to share some of our highlights from Justice At Last's first month of the year -
We moved into our new office space at Tides Foundation in the Presidio and we are thrilled to have found a home in San Francisco!
In partnership with the Afghan Health Leadership Consortium, IRC, Ruby’s Place and the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, we participated in a training on “Identifying and Helping Immigrant Survivors of Human Trafficking,” in Fremont on January 16.
We were proud to support and help sponsor S.H.A.D.E.’s 3rd annual Shattering Barriers Symposium in Oakland on January 21, 2020.
In collaboration with the San Mateo County Human Trafficking Program we tabled and talked about the work we do to members of the community at the Fighting Human Trafficking Community Awareness event in San Mateo on January 28, 2020. Our very own Rose Mukhar contributed to the SMC Human Trafficking Program Stop Trafficking video.
Looking forward -
We invite you to attend with us the annual SFCAHT Teen Power Summit on February 29, 2020 at the War Memorial Veterans Building from 11:30am-2pm. The event program includes recognizing the winners of the SFCAHT Teen Poster and Writing Contest. Learn more about the Teen Poster and Writing Contests here - the deadline to submit entries is February 19, 2020.
All of our work - with clients and in our shared community - would not be possible without the generous support of our donors. We're so grateful for the tremendous amount of support we received in 2019 and are excited for everything the rest of 2020 will bring.
Thank you for your support - this month and every month! Together we are supporting survivor-thrivers in seeking justice on their own terms.
With warmest wishes for a fantastic 2020,
The Board and Staff at Justice At Last
