Meet Client Advocate Tatiana Guardado
As the Justice At Last Client Advocate, Tatiana “Tati” serves an essential role in providing critical emergency crisis management and trauma-informed support services to survivors of human trafficking including on-going safety planning, as well as coordination between legal services and third-party, long-term social services case managers. Tati graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Sociology and Latin American and Latinx Studies and she is Bilingual in English and Spanish. Throughout her undergraduate experience, she worked at a variety of non-profit organizations, serving marginalized communities and in particular trafficked persons. Please join us in welcoming Tati, we are delighted to have her be part of our growing team.
Meet Legal Fellow Emilia Shelton
As the Justice At Last Legal Fellow, Emilia supports our legal team by researching case law, drafting motions and actively engaging with our clients to help provide holistic wrap-around legal services. Emilia has a B.A. from Loyola Marymount in Political Science and Spanish and a minor in International Relations. She recently graduated from U.C. Hastings College of Law with a Social Justice Lawyering Concentration and is the recipient of a Public Interest Achievement Award and the Wiley W. Manual Award. Emilia is patiently waiting for her California Bar exam results. Please join us in welcoming Emilia, we are excited to have her be part of our growing team.

Join Us in Congratulating Sue Williams Kim
In her new promoted role as Client Advocate Program Manager, Sue oversees Justice At Last’s client advocacy program which provides critical emergency crisis management and trauma-informed support services to survivors of human trafficking. Sue works closely with the legal team to coordinate advocacy, legal, and training project strategies in order to align Justice At Last’s mission to the direct services provided to survivors of human trafficking. Sue has a M.A. in Women and Gender Studies from San Francisco State University and brings with her over five years of experience working first as a volunteer to become the Director of Recruitment and Training at San Francisco Women Against Rape providing direct services to survivors of sexual assault. She has a deep understanding of providing comprehensive and compassionate case management, comprehensive advocacy, community-based resource referrals, crisis intervention, as well as a commitment to empowering survivors discover their inner strengths to achieve self-sufficiency. Sue is also fluent in Japanese and is a certified interpreter in Japanese. Please join us in recognizing Sue’s accomplishments and promotion, we are honored she is part of our growing team.
JOIN OUR FIRST ANNUAL #Jog4Justice
Jog on your own or get a group together to run, walk or do some form of outdoor activity together like playing football or zumba in the park between November 14 and 28, 2021. Our first annual #Jog4Justice fundraiser will benefit the survivors of human trafficking that Justice At Last serves.
The goal is to get high school, college and law students to spread awareness about trafficking and raise funds for pro bono legal services for survivors of trafficking.
