“Today and every day, we find it necessary to recognize that the land we reside on is stolen land and we wish to pay our respects to the Muwekma, Chochenyo, and Ramaytush Ohlone people’s ancestors for being stewards of this land and continuing to look after this land despite the thousands of years of massacres, forced removal, cultural genocide, and systemic discrimination by the state of California. Inspired by Indigenous people’s resistance to California’s racist agenda and history, we intend on working alongside Native communities in the fight for justice.”
